On the water front of American village sits a great little pizzeria called Ariccia. It, like all the places on the water in American Village, boasts captivating views and people watching. Ariccia has fun, fresh decor, an open kitchen, and a simple menu making it as close to authentic as a pizzeria in Japan can get.

Ariccia has a good size patio with a number of tables and chairs for outdoor seating. Inside, there is seating to the right with a wall of plants behind. There's a beautiful open kitchen to the left and walkway to the counter where orders are placed. They have a wide selection of beer and wine, and couple of daily pastries and desserts. Once your order is placed they give you a number to take to a table of your choice. Although the vibe inside was fun, I cant resist that view, so I sat outside.

The menu consists of about 8 different pizzas with two that change monthly for the lunch set. I enjoyed how uncomplicated the ordering process was. I would recommend going to Ariccia when you are feeling indecisive, as there are not many decisions to be made. I ordered the Diavola, which is a pepperoni basil combo. When it arrived, there was ham on it and no basil. Not what I ordered, but I didn't really want to wait for another pizza and I hate complaining… at restaurants. Restaurants needed to be specified in case my husband reads this. In all fairness, the waitstaff did not vow to spend the rest of their lives with me, so I wont expose them to my petty complaints. The pizza came with a simple salad and a drink. the whole meal was timed perfectly and despite the abundance of ham and lack of basil, the pizza was a good size and delicious.

My server checked on me a normal amount and since you pay at the counter beforehand, it was a hassle free dinning experience. It wasn't very busy so I was able to take my time. I would recommend Ariccia. Its an awesome place for a relaxing lunch.
